RMS Imperio misses the listing USS Ashtabula, firing entirely over the top of her hull during the July 2003 AusBG meeting in Sydney, NSW
Notice how the ball bearings have travelled some distance under water and then popped out again ? The rounds themselves are travelling quite slowly now and are the two whitish dots in the lower left of the picture.

        Carl Zoller from the Midwest Battlegroup in the USA happend to be in Sydney for his honeymoon, so we organised a battle to celebrate. The Canberra crew and Michael Raue from Armidale came along to help us properly welcome our guest

        HMS Revenge and USS Alabama (Sydney) taken on Glendon Pryor's RMS Littorio as the Pryors make their first trip from Newcastle to battle on the Sydney pond.

        USS Alabama (Sydney) takes on HMS Lion (Armidale), each supported by a flock of merchants, in a three round contest on the Sydney Pond

      Canberra Battle, 24th March, 2002: (Photos & Text - written by Richard Simpson)
        USS Alabama (Sydney), USS South Dakota and USS Houston take on VNS Richelieu, VNS Jean Bart and VNS Strasbourg in a long battle in Canberra. At the end of the battle only the USS Alabama is afloat.

        While engaging the VNS Richelieu at the AusBG October 2000 meeting in Canberra, USS South Dakota blows her prop shaft connectors and drifts helplessly into the reeds. VNS Richelieu and VNS Strasbourg concentrate on making sure she does not make it home.
