Sinking of the USS Ashtabula, January 2004
USS Ashtabula is a "modified Cimmeron" class tanker from the Sydney Battle Squadron. At just over 25,000 tons she is hard to sink and worth a great deal of points. As such she is always a prime target. During the "Last Man Standing" battle of the January 2004 National meet in Armidale, NSW the USS Ashtabula ran into HMS Lion (Michael Raue, Armidale).
