Sinking of the USS Nebraska, June 2004
Mark Strong took the brand new USS Nebraska into battle for the first time at the June 2004 National Meet in Canberra. She fought well until she took on a bit to much water and Mark lost control. These pictures show what happened next. The USS Nebraska is one of the Interwar South Dakota class battleships with 12 16" guns in triple turrets. Slow (24 knots) but packing a mean punch.
